The Challenge of Scaling Carbon Markets
Achieving global net zero goals requires more ambitious carbon projects to be developed and deployed worldwide. To scale meaningful climate impact, a greater number of early-stage and emerging projects must be brought forward.
Financing is critical to enabling this transition. However, over the past decade, while global carbon markets have expanded rapidly, most mechanisms remain concentrated on mature projects, focusing on the trading and monetisation of carbon credits to generate financial returns for project developers. Obviously, existing carbon markets are not designed to effectively support projects at their early stages, in particular before carbon credits have been issued.
This structural gap highlights a fundamental challenge in today’s carbon markets. Bridging early-stage project development with accessible, scalable, and well-structured capital is increasingly urgent.

Jason Lee, Founder and CEO
Jason is a cross-domain entrepreneur with deep experience in both climate action and blockchain. He began his career in software engineering and product management, and has since expanded his experience across consulting, strategy, and operations.
Carbon accounting background
He has 5 years of experience in carbon accounting, providing consulting services across the public sector and multiple industries. He specialises in helping global enterprises establish international supply chain carbon management strategies and set net-zero targets. In addition, he has led the development of digital carbon accounting platforms and worked closely with clients on implementation.
Blockchain and Web3 background
In parallel, Jason has 7 years of experience in the blockchain and Web3 industry, with expertise in enterprise blockchain architecture. Throughout his career, he has led technology training programmes for universities and corporations, and advised financial institutions on hiring technical and business talent to build digital asset teams. He holds an AML/CFT certification recognised by the Taiwan government.
